Ralph Louie is a singer songwriter from Groningen, the Netherlands. When you listen to his songs the melody is the first thing to stand out and the clear voice takes you along on a journey, slowly disclosing that the lyrics are at the forefront of his music. The songs are the stories of people and their struggles and hopes, inviting you to listen once more.
The folk rock tradition is Ralph Louie’s musical home base, with influences like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Neil Young. He performs solo, with only the rhythmic guitar and clean vocals showing the impact songs can have when stripped down to the core.
His first single ‘Not Only at Christmas’ came out in December 2023. It was included in the Stadsplaat playlist of OOG Radio for three months.
His second single ‘Soldier On’ was released on April 13th 2024. ‘Soldier On’ is produced by well-known and praised producer Henk Pool from Artica Productions.
